Dumbbell flyes

Dumbbell flyes - this exercise can be performed on a flat, incline or decline bench.

Each angle uniquely stresses the pectoral muscles
What you need for dumbbell flyes :

how to do it
  • Grasp two lightly weighted dumbbells. Lie on a bench with your back flat and your feet on the floor
  • Extend your arms and turn your palms to face each other. This is the start and end position
  • With relaxed elbows slowly lower the dumbbells to form a 'W' shape with the dumbbells in line with your body
  • From this position, squeeze your pectorals (chest) together to raise the dumbbells and to straighten your arms. Repeat
