Cable rows


Cable row - this exercise can strengthen ALL the upper back muscles as well as the arms.

Aim not to lean back at all when pulling the handles
 
What you need for Cable rows :
  • A cable machine
  • OR exercise tubing

how to do it
  • Sit facing a low cable machine. Attach either the neutral grip or the straight bar grasping it at arms length
     
  • While maintaining a natural posture (curve in the lower back), begin to pull the handles towards the abdominals
     
  • Allow the bar to lightly touch your stomach before slowly straightening your arms and returning to the start position
     
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions. i.e. 6 - 8 strength, 8 - 12 for building muscle, 12 - 15 for endurance and tone
