Holistic therapist careers

You want to look for Holistic Therapist jobs but not sure what's involved? To become a Holistic Therapist, you need to have a real passion for helping and healing people. You also need to have a keen interest in alternative healing methods. If you are looking for Holistic Therapist jobs, you will need to take courses that allow you to get qualified in a range of alternative healing methods. So do you have what it takes to become a Holistic Therapist? Read on to find out how to become qualified.

In order to have a career in alternative healing, you'll need to become skilled in a variety of different healing methods, including Full Body Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, and Reiki to name a few. Most of these skills can be mastered through specialty courses run by alternative healing professionals or private alternative healing colleges. If you're choosing a school or course, there are a couple of important questions you should consider to be sure that you're getting all that you can from your training.

Firstly, you'll need to consider what recognized qualifications the course offers. The qualifications that are officially recognized in the industry with in the UK are the NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) Level 2 and 3. If the course you're applying for doesn't offer these qualifications, you will be at a disadvantage within the industry. Better still are courses that offer the International health and beauty qualifications which are the IHBC and the IIHHT, as they're recognized all over the world. Other considerations when choosing a course are whether the course is taught by qualified professionals, what helpful links the school or course has with the industry, do they offer further advanced courses that you could make use of, is the training comprehensive, and whether you will feel confident as a practitioner upon graduation given the length and involvement of the course.

If you want to know which courses come well-recommended by the industry, it's a good idea to contact industry organizations such as FHT, BABTAC, GPBT, IFHB and ICHT. Why not get started today? The sooner you look into getting qualified, the sooner you'll be on the path to a new career!
