Jump press


Jump press - press-ups - this advanced exercise is used to develop power in the chest.

Only attempt if you can complete 30 + normal press ups
 
What you need for jump press press-ups :

how to do it
  • Adopt a position which mirrors that of a normal press up - hands at shoulder level - slightly wider than shoulder width
     
  • Bend your elbows and begin to perform a normal press up. On the ascend of the movement press as forcefully as possible
     
  • As your arms extend and straighten, throw your hands up off the floor and clap them together in front of your chest
     
  • After clapping, cushion your 'fall' with your hands before going back down into the start position. Repeat
