Drinking water to lose weight ? how it works

Water is essential for most of the body's natural processes. For those trying to lose weight it is doubly important. Here's why:

Mixed signals: Although your body is a very sophisticated organism, it can't differentiate between hunger and thirst - so when you get a signal that you think is hunger, it may simply be that you are thirsty. The solution to this is simple - whenever you start to feel hungry, drink a glass of water.

There are a couple of positive things that will happen as a result of this - firstly, if the signal was simply your body crying out for water, them the feelings of hunger will disappear when you drink the water.

Secondly, even if you are hungry, if you drink a glass of water before you eat, there will be less room in your stomach for food, so you will eat less. Quite simply, water is a remarkably effective natural appetite suppressant - if you are trying to lose weight it is a valuable weapon.
