Lat Pull Down

What it does?

A classic exercise to help develop the shoulders and middle/upper back

What you need?

Cable machine or lat pull down station

How do you do it?

- Sitting upright hold the bar with a wide grip more than shoulder width apart
- Begin to pull the bar down keeping your upper body straight
- Pull it down in front of your chest to work the shoulders and upper back
- Pause briefly at the bottom then slowly return the bar to the start position
- Repeat 10-12 times for one set

Key Points

- The movement should be slow and controlled focusing on using your shoulder muscles
- Avoid jerking and swinging your body when pulling down
