Water bottles for athletes

We often take water bottles for granted, but they are an essential part of anyone's workout gear.

So when you're buying water bottles, what should you look for?

Size: Water bottles come in different sizes, so be sure you buy one that's the right size for your workouts - if you plan on using them on a bike, be sure they'll fit your bottle cage.

Ergonomics: While bike bottles are perfect for most uses, if you'll be carrying yours when you run, look for a smaller bottle that's designed to fit your hand.

Removable top: A removable top is good because it means you can clean the bottle properly - essential for avoiding stomach bugs.

Dishwasher safe: Some cheap bottles are not dishwasher safe - this is the bet way to get them really clean, so be sure yours can take the heat!

Of course most people end up choosing the one with the cool design or logo, but if you keep these points in mind, you might find there are better ways to make your decision!
