Health & fitness jobs

Current vacancies, long term careers and general health & fitness jobs usually require you to have a relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification. Most people today often choose to get an NVQ so that when approaching a health and fitness job they are holding relevant skills and on-the-job knowledge.

Most health and fitness careers offer you the chance to get as much out of it as you put in. Clients will be more likely to stick with you if there is development and support (which can be a lot of work on your end! A good fitness practitioner makes it look easy!) It's important to keep in mind that a lot of your business will come out of recommendation so you will be best to keep your clients happy!

If you are looking to be self-employed, then self marketing is very important as your salary will depend on it. It would be beneficial to take a course in the subject to give it your all.

As a fitness professional, there are hundreds of development modules you can take to enhance your career including strength conditioning, circuit training, special populations and rehab. These are great for professional development and will help you increase your earning potential.
