Boost your Immune system

With the high stress lives we lead these days, it's not surprising we sometimes feel run down. So boost your immune system via a number of routes. Many people suffer from feeling tired and worn out and for a lot this is an almost normal state. So to boost your immune system and revitalize your life we thought we'd provide some simple advice and tips. If you can boost your immune system it will improve every area of your life - from the quality of your work through to the energy you have left over for yourself. There are a number of nutrients that can help boost your immune system:

  • Vitamin C :

    Increases the production of infection-fighting white blood cells and antibodies.

  • Vitamin E :

    An important antioxidant that stimulates the production of natural killer cells, those that seek out and destroy germs and cancer cells.

  • Beta carotene :

    Increases the number of infection-fighting cells, natural killer cells, and helper T-cells, as well as being a powerful antioxidant.

  • Zinc :

    Increases the production of white blood cells and helps them release more antibodies.

  • Garlic :

    Stimulates the multiplication of white cells, increases natural killer cell activity, and improves the efficiency of antibody production.

  • Selenium :

    Increases natural killer cells and mobilizes cancer-fighting cells.

  • Omega-3 fatty acids :

    The omega 3 fatty acids in flax oil and fatty fish increase the activity of phagocytes, the white blood cells that eat up bacteria.

How do you get all these essential nutrients? Two ways:
  1. Eat a well balanced diet and don't skip meals.
  2. Take a multivitamin daily. Look for one that contains all the nutrients listed above.
Aside from diet, there are other life-style changes that you can make:
  • Get plenty of rest :

    we require at least 8 hours per night to stay in full health.

  • Relax :

    Stress and depression weaken you.

  • Exercise regularly
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Don't smoke
