Aqueous Spa

The first of its kind in Scotland, Dalhousie Castle's Aqueous Spa offers a range of therapeutic and hydro treatments to leave the mind and body relaxed and rejuvenated, whilst customers relax in an ancient and beautiful setting.

Luxury hotel Dalhousie Castle is just a few miles south of Edinburgh, in a stunning 13th century fortress set on the banks of the river Esk. It nestles amid acres of parkland in the beautiful Midlothian countryside - yet is within easy reach of the Scottish capital, Edinburgh airport, and Edinburgh Waverley Station. The building is rich in character, with open fires, a well-stocked library, and even an ancient barrel-vaulted dungeon, yet offers all the comforts of a four star hotel, including a formal fine dining restaurant.

The hotel's Aqueous Spa offers a wide variety of relaxation experiences to its guests - why not visit the Laconium, a Roman style sauna with underfloor and seat heating? Try out the Ottoman, an exotic Turkish style steam bath, or reinvigorate your body in the Tropical Rain and Cold Fog Shower. A comprehensive range of therapeutic and beauty treatments are also on offer, including classic treatments such as manicures and pedicures, exfoliation and aromatherapy, and more specialist beauty packages, such as Japanese silk eye zone therapy. An intimate hairdressing salon offers customers the chance to have their hair styled as the final touch in their make-over - and there's even something for the men, with male aromatherapy face treatments also available.

And for any curious readers of The Da Vinci Code keen to explore the surrounding countryside, Rosslyn Chapel, built by the Knights Templar and believed by many to be the final resting place of the Holy Grail, is just a stone's throw away.
