Whether you're looking for skincare products to improve the condition of your skin, or your skin is already in great condition and you're just looking to keep it that way, there are lots of skincare product tips that can help you along the way. So what are these basic tips? How do they work with your body to promote health? And are these tips easy to fit into a busy lifestyle?

First on the list of tips and tricks is nutrition. If you want beautiful skin, a balanced diet is essential, and you may want to add more of particular foods known to benefit the health of the skin. Oily fish like salmon, which contains fatty acids, is great for your skin. If you're not keen on seafood, you can get similar benefits from cod liver oil supplements, or nuts like walnuts or brazil nuts. Foods containing vitamin e, such as sunflower seeds, olives, almonds and blueberries are also a must-have.

Second is hydration. Nutritionists recommend that we drink 8 fluid ounces of water a day, which basically equates to 8 glasses. If you want to see optimum benefit to your skin, try to spread your water consumption over the course of the day, rather than downing huge amounts all at once. Also, it's important to invest in a good moisturiser to hold the moisture in.

The last thing to remember for great skin is that it needs protecting. If you are going out in the sunshine, even in the winter, remember to wear sunscreen with a high SPF to protect your skin from damaging ultraviolet rays. Limit your exposure to direct sunlight, and remember to cover up with a hat or jacket if you are out longer than 15 minutes. Take care of your skin and it'll take care of you!
