Reductil

The product Reductil is prescription slimming medication for people who suffer from extreme weight related problems. Unlike many over-the-counter medications, Reductil has been studied, and it has been found that in combination with a healthy diet and exercise plan, 77% of the people in the study group lost weight and experienced health benefits. Reductil, however, is potent, and you should educate yourself about the drug before approaching your doctor about it. It's important to know how Reductil works, and what the potential side-effects are.

Reductil is what's known as a satiety enhancer. That means it helps you to feel full. The active ingredient is sibutramine hydrochloride. It works by inhibiting the release and reabsorbtion of seratonin by nerve cells. As a result of this, your seratonin levels increase. Seratonin creates a reaction in the brain that gives you the sensation of fullness. This means you're likely to eat less, and therefore you lose weight.

Doctors rarely prescribe this drug unless you suffer from extreme obesity or weight related health problems. Your Body Mass Index is required to be 30 or more. The exception is that you can have a Body Mass Index of 27 or more if you also suffer from a serious weight-related health problem. Though the drug is available over the internet, it's unwise to take this drug unless it has been prescribed by your doctor. Side-effects include insomnia, dry mouth, increase in blood pressure and constipation.

The drug should always be used in conjunction with a diet and exercise plan.
