NLP hypnosis

Using NLP hypnosis is a powerful way to help people understand how to make sense of the world and those around them.

By helping you to re-think the way you think and do things, NLP hypnosis can help with a variety of problems, particularly those where you feel unable to help yourself do or think something that you don't want, or are unable to do something that you want to do.

Typical uses include:

  • Weight loss
  • Eating disorders
  • Stopping smoking
  • Phobias
  • Personal development

NLP hypnosis uses a wide range of techniques and approaches - this is a field based on the theory of modelling successful behaviour, so therapists have a very open mind, and are thus more interested in whether a technique works than sticking to a particular dogma.

The approach is typically a very 'here and now' one of tackling the unwanted thinking and behaviour head-on, rather than spending hours reviewing your past in the hope of finding some hidden meaning or original cause for the behaviour or thinking that is bothering you.

This very direct approach means that results can often be achieved in a fraction of the time taken by other, more traditional; forms of therapy.

The aim of the therapy is to work with you to train your mind, to teach you to be more flexible in your thinking. If you are in control of your thinking you can stop engaging in unwanted automated thinking, feelings and behaviours, replacing them instead with deliberate, purposeful actions that help you to achieve your goals.
