AlprostadilA drug used in impotence injections, it dilates the blood vessels to improve blood flow.
AndropauseA male menopause that causes a decrease in testosterone levels.
AnejaculationThe inability to ejaculate.
AnginaA condition usually caused by lack of oxygen reaching the heart muscle, usually marked by a severe chest pain.

A fatty substance that is primarily a source of fuel but also involved in cell structure and the production of hormones.

Corpus cavernosumIn the penis, two rows of spongy tissue that are filled with blood during an erection.
EjaculateWhen semen is released from the penis.
Erectile dysfunctionThe persistent or recurrent inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for the completion of sexual intercourse or other sexual activity. See impotence.
ErectionA penis engorged with blood, making it hard or rigid.
HypertensionHigh blood pressure.
HypotensionLow blood pressure.
ImpotenceThe persistent or recurrent inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for the completion of sexual intercourse or other sexual activity. See erectile dysfunction.
LevitraA medical treatment in tablet form for erectile dysfunction.
LibidoThe sex drive or sexual desire.
NitrateIt dilates the blood vessels to the heart, used in some medications.
OrgasmThe heighten state of sexual excitement reached at the point of climax.
PDE5 (Phosphodiesterase Type 5) Inhibitor An enzyme used in some medications to dilate the blood vessels.
Peyronie's diseaseA condition in which the penis curves in an unnatural way.
PlaceboA dummy medicine used to measure the psychological effects of taking medication.
Premature ejaculation An uncontrolled ejaculation before sexual intercourse takes place.
PriapismA prolonged erection that continues after ejaculation and/or occurs without sexual stimulation, causing pain and tenderness to the penis.
Prosthesisan artificial addition to the body to replace lost or damaged parts.
Sildenafil citrateThe pharmaceutical name for Viagra.
TadalafilThe pharmaceutical name for Cialis.
TestosteroneA hormone that is responsible for development of male characteristics.

UrethraThe tube from the bladder through which urine is passed out of the body.
