General educational training can include courses in finance, business and/or marketing. On the job training sessions often take place for new applicants. These training courses are sometimes offered through the REC and include a certificate or diploma in the practice of recruiting. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) also offers a Level 3 training certificate which can be completed traditionally or via a continuing professional development (CPD) plan.
