Benefits of aromatherapy?
The benefits of aromatherapy depend on the type of essential oils that are used. Some essential oils can be used to treat minor skin conditions while others can ease digestive problems.
The benefits of aromatherpay are that the list of treatable conditions is endless. One of the main benefits of aromatherapy is that it can be tailored to address your specific needs. This does not mean only focussing on particular symptoms but the benfits of aromatherapy can be to treat your body, mind, and spirit as a complete entity. Other benefits of aromatherapy are that natural oils are less toxic than synthetic antibiotics.
Different oils also have a different effect on the emotions. The scent of jasmine can make you feel excited while basil and peppermint are uplifting. By relaxing or stimulating the nervous system, fragrances can also raise or lower blood pressure. Massaging essential oils into the skin can greatly reduce stress, fatigue and tension. Some oils are particularly useful in treating sleep disorders or women's problems such as PMS or postnatal depression. From the common cold to male impotence, essential oils can be used as an effective non-invasive treatment.
In fact the benefits of using essential oils are as varied as the oils themselves. Physical pain that may be caused by stress and anxiety, such as muscle cramps or rheumatism, as well as digestive problems, are thought to respond particularly well. Chamomile can be used as an antiseptic and is useful for treating cuts. Other oils can help with anything from bruising to fungal infections to asthma. By enabling you to relax, they indirectly boost your immune system and help prevent future difficulties, whether physical or emotional in cause. Often people place the essential oils in either a burner or they use a specialty candle for otherall effect in a room.
