Introduction

You can easily monitor your endurance with the 250 metre Endurance Test.

What is the point?

Running over-distance allows you train your endurance for an event. If you are a 200m runner, you can monitor your endurance with the 250 metre Endurance Test. The results will allow you to predict your time for the race itself.

What do you need?

  • 400 metre track
     
  • Stop watch
     
  • Assistant
     
How do you do the test?

  • Mark out a 250 metre section of track
     
  • Run 250 metres from a standing start
     
  • Record your time
     


What results you'll get :

Repeating this test on a regular basis will allow you to track you progress through a training cycle.

What is being measured again?

This test assesses the development of your 200 metre endurance.
