For abdominals, the ab trainer is one piece of gym equipment a lot of gyms have for those abs workouts and islotation exercises. The ab trainer is also a staple of most TV shopping channels - but the question is will they help your abdominals or not.

In essence an ab trainer is a metal cradle that assists you in performing exercises for your abdominals - like the ab crunch. They are typically made of thick steel tubing, with a padded headrest to provide cervical support during the performance of exercises and they come in different sizes, usually a standard size and a smaller model for those under around 5'3".
