Back pain information

Lost days due to back pain and injuries are the most common cause of missed work time in the UK. Figures suggest that at any time, up to 20% of the population are suffering pain in the back.

So why do so many people have problems in this area? Basic physiology is one reason - we were not designed to walk upright.

In addition, many of the things we do - bending, twisting, lifting and carrying, and of course sitting for hours at a desk or in a car, can further compromise this area.

Herniated disc
